Recently introduced, this licence would suit those who want the ability to take a friend or family member flying throughout New Zealand, but no longer meet the medical requirements for a Private Pilot Licence.

Duration:
As required by an individual to meet the required CAA standard

Entry requirements:

• be at least 17 years of age
• hold a medical certificate issued in accordance with Land Transport (Driver Licensing) Rule 1999.
• hold all six PPL theory exams
• have a minimum of 50 hours of flying experience (as per PPL)

• Fly single engined aircraft up to 2000kg
• Carry one passenger only
• Fly throughout New Zealand (Some Restrictions apply to flight in controlled airspace and flight over congested areas).
